Feature of Chinese in Taiwan
The blog author is from Taiwan, so this web is shared based on Taiwanese accent mainly.
I'll also share the difference of Mandarin between mainland China and Taiwan.
Besides, I also list the 3 basic elements of Taiwan's Mandarin below：
1. There are some different tones for vocabularies.
There are some vocabularies which people speak with different pronunciation.
But, it doesn't mean one of them is wrong.
English；Chinese； TW → China
hair； 頭髮[头发]；tóu fǎ → tóu fà
week； 星期； xīng qí → xīng qī
pity； 可惜； kě xí → kě xī
expose；暴露； pù lù → bào lù
2. There is no 「兒 er」 rhyme in Taiwan.
Mainland China uses「兒 er」rhyme.
But, people don't use this anymore in Taiwan.
With 「兒 er」rhyme, people in mainland China speak Chinese with strong retroflex accent.

3. People in Taiwan and China use different way to describe a stuff.
Just like ,"the chips" in the U.S;
"the crisps" in Britain.
Both of them means same stuff.
During HSK 1-6 ,you'll not learn this kind of vocabularies than 5 words.
Most of people can understand both of the ways without much concern.
