In snow and river；江雪；jiāng xu

Hundreds of hills see not a bird flying by,
Thousands of paths bear not a footprint in sight;
One lone boat carries an old man in a bamboo hat and straw cloak,
In solitude in the river in the snow he angles in the cold.

千山鳥飛絕，
qiān shān niǎo fēi jué，
萬徑人蹤滅；
wàn jìng rén zōng miè；
孤舟蓑笠翁，
gū zhōu suō lì wēng，
獨釣寒江雪。
dú diào hán jiāng xuě。
Annotate and Explanation
This is a poem written by 柳宗元.
Because getting fail on political struggle , he was demoted to Yong zhou city .
He expressed his loneliness and depression through the fisherman.
