These red beans grow only in the south,
In spring they branch away and flourish;
Why don't you harvest plentiful to cherish,
For they are most symbolising of yearning.

紅豆生南國[国]，
hóng dòu shēng nán guó，
春來發幾[来发几]枝；
chūn lái fā jǐ zhī；
願[愿]君多采擷[撷]，
yuàn jūn duō cǎi jié，
此物最相思。
cǐ wù zuì xiāng sī。
