Unicorn

獨角獸[独角兽]；dú jiǎo shòu

One day,小明 met a goddess.

有一天，小明遇到一位女神

yǒu yì tiān，xiǎo míng yù dào yí wèi nǚshén

Goddess：I can fulfill your wish

女神 : 我可以實現[实现]你一個願[个愿]望

nǚ shén：wǒ kěyǐ shí xiàn nǐ yí ge yuàn wàng 

小明 :I want a unicorn

小明 : 我想要一隻[只]獨角獸

xiǎo míng：wǒ xiǎng yào yī zhī dú jiǎo shòu 

Goddess：This wish is not practical, can I change it?

女神 : 這個願望不太實際，可以換一個嗎？

           这个愿          实际，        换   个吗？

nǚ shén：zhège yuàn wàng bú tài shí jì, kě yǐ huàn yí ge ma? 

小明 :Then, I want a girlfriend.

小明 : 那...我想要一位女朋友

xiǎo míng：nà...wǒ xiǎng yào yí wèi nǚ péng yǒu 

Goddess：What color unicorn do you want?

女神 : 你想要什麼顏色[颜色]的獨角獸？

nǚ shén：nǐ xiǎng yào shén me yán sè de dú jiǎo shòu?

There is a deepsea fish in the sea

He swims freely in the sea

他在海裡自由自在得游啊游

But he is not happy at all

English Translation (by 曾培慈)

These red beans grow only in the south,

In spring they branch away and flourish;

Why don't you harvest plentiful to cherish,

For they are most symbolising of yearning.

紅豆生南國[国]，

hóng dòu shēng nán guó，

春來發幾[来发几]枝；

chūn lái fā jǐ zhī；

願[愿]君多采擷[撷]，

yuàn jūn duō cǎi jié，

此物最相思。

cǐ wù zuì xiāng sī。

Till I hear birds twittering everywhere.

It springs to mind a storm raged through overnight,

Off it blew how many flowers I wonder?
