Rule 1
If it's under ten , no need to use 零 líng.
e.g. 
10;十;shí 

Wrong way:
10;十零;shí líng 

Rule 2
For numbers who are hundred, thousand, million, billion, trillion, if the following digit is zero, you just need to read zero without repeat the name of unit.
e.g. 
11,011;一萬一千一十一;
yí wàn yī qiān líng yī shí yī

Wrong way:
1,011;一萬一千零百一十一;
yí wàn yī qiān líng bǎi yī shí y

Rule 3
According point 2, if following digits are zero, you just need to read 1 zero without repeat zeros.
e.g. 
10,010;一萬零一十;
yí wàn líng yī shí

Wrong way:
10,010;一萬零千零百一十;
yí wàn líng qiān líng bǎi yī shí

Wrong way:
10,010;一萬一十;
yí wàn líng líng yī shí

Way to pronounce 「一 yī」
There are some rules to pronounce 「一 yī」
Change tone of「一 yī」based on the tone of the rear character:

→if the rear word is 1st, 2nd, or 3rd tone ,speak as 」.
→if the rear word is 4th tone ,speak as 」.

e.g. 
  一百 yī bǎi         yì bǎi
  一千 yī qiān       yì qiān
  一萬 yī wàn       yí wàn
  一億 yī yì           yí yì
  一兆 yī zhào      yí zhào
