Introduce:To ask "What time is it" in Chinese

What time is it?;幾點[几点]了?jǐ diǎn le?

「幾 jǐ」is a question particle to ask "how many/much".
「點 diǎn」means "clock".
「了 le」indicates that an verb, behavior or event was completed ,have taken place, or take place in the future. See more in Grammar of「了 le」.

 To ask more politely:

 請問現在是幾點了?
[请问现       几点]
qǐng wèn xiàn zài shì jǐ diǎn le?

「請 qǐng」means "please".
「問 wèn」means "to ask".
「請問 qǐng wèn」means "may I ask".
「現在 xiàn zài」means "now, or current".

To answer time

1:00一點yì diǎn
1:15一點十五yì diǎn shí wǔ
1:15一點十五分yì diǎn shí wǔ fēn
1:15:45一點十五分四十五秒yì diǎn shí wǔ fēn sì shí wǔ miǎo
1:30一點半yì diǎn bàn
almost 1:30快一點半kuài yì diǎn bàn
almost 2:00快兩點kuài liǎng diǎn
It's 18:00 now現在是十八點鐘xiàn zài shì shí bā diǎn zhōng

「半 bàn」means "half".

「快 kuài 」means "quick , hurry up", but it means "almost" here.
「點鐘 diǎn zhōng」only can be used when it's exactly the hour, it same as "o'clock"
「秒鐘 miǎo zhōng、分鐘 fēn zhōng」is a unit of time
       It's same situation with the difference between "o'clock" and "hour".
